These Terms govern your use of YapCalls (“YapCalls,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or placing a call, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use YapCalls.
You must be at least 18 years old to use YapCalls. By using the service you represent that you are 18 or older and that everything you do with it is legal where you and the person you call are located.
You agree that you will not use YapCalls to:
You are solely responsible for who you call, what you say, and how the recipient reacts. You will only prank people you personally know who you reasonably believe will find it funny.
YapCalls uses AI-generated voices and comedic character impressions for parody and entertainment. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any public figure, brand, or rights holder. If you believe a voice or character infringes your rights, use our takedown request form and we will act promptly.
AI disclosure. Calls placed on a free account end with a spoken statement that the call was made by an AI and naming this site. Calls placed on a paid plan do not include that automatic sign-off. Removing it does not change your obligations: you remain responsible for telling the person they were pranked, and for complying with every law that applies to AI-generated voices and automated calls where you and the recipient are located — including the TCPA and state laws on synthetic-voice disclosure and impersonation. You may not use a paid plan to deceive anyone for gain.
New accounts get 2 free calls. Beyond that, YapCalls is a subscription. We no longer sell one-time credit packs.
Current plans are Starter ($7.99/month, 40 calls), Plus ($14.99/month, 120 calls) and Pro ($24.99/month, 300 calls). Allowances are per billing period and do not roll over. A per-day ceiling applies on each plan purely to stop runaway or shared use. The trial is limited to 10 calls regardless of which plan it is attached to, and is available once per account.
Cancelling. Cancel any time from the billing page in your account, which opens Stripe's customer portal — no email required and it takes effect immediately for future renewals. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. Because a call is delivered immediately, charges are generally non-refundable except where required by law. Calls that do not connect — no answer, busy, or voicemail — are refunded automatically and never count against your allowance. Prices may change; we will tell you before a change affects a renewal.
YapCalls can record calls so you can export them as clips. Recording laws vary by location. In some places every party to a call must consent to being recorded. You are responsible for complying with the recording laws that apply to you and the person you call. We do not currently detect or restrict recording based on the number you dial, so do not rely on us to do that for you — check before you record someone in a place that requires everyone on the call to agree.
You keep ownership of the clips you export. By using the service you grant us the limited right to process and store call audio and transcripts as needed to run the service. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
YapCalls is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, YapCalls is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for how you or a call recipient uses or reacts to the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past three months.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless YapCalls from any claim arising out of your use of the service, including calls you place and content you create.
