Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 8, 2026

This policy explains what YapCalls collects, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

  • Account info: your email address and a securely hashed password.
  • Call data: the character used, the last four digits of the number called, call status, timestamps, duration, and what the call cost against your plan. We do not store the full phone number.
  • Recordings and transcripts: if a call is saved, we store the call audio and transcript so you can export clips.
  • Payment info: handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
  • Basic technical data: standard logs needed to run and secure the service.

How we use it

  • To place your calls and let you watch, steer, and export them.
  • To meter your plan allowance and process subscription payments.
  • To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
  • To respond to support and legal requests.

Who we share it with

We share data only with the vendors that make the service work: Supabase (accounts and database), LiveKit and its model providers (call transport and transcription), Fish Audio (voice), Deepgram (transcription), and Stripe (payments). We do not sell your personal data.

Recordings

Call recordings and transcripts are stored privately and tied to your account. You control whether a call is exported. Recording laws vary by location; see our Terms for your responsibilities.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and recordings at any time by emailing support@yapcalls.lol.

Your choices

You can access, correct, or delete your data by contacting us. If you are the subject of a voice or character and want it removed, use the takedown request form.
